Patient 1: Prostate cancer/final stage (male, 56 years old)
Patient A suffered a severe pain, which extended to his entire body in the middle of December 1996. He went to the hospital on December 24, 1996, and was admitted for an examination. The result was prostate cancer, and the PSA was 1600ng/mg, which was extremely high indicating the cancer was in its last stage. It was suspected that the cancer had spread into his entire body causing severe pain. Thereby, it was impossible to have surgery. The medication was prescribed starting on December 30. By January 9, 1997, the PSA went down to 298ng/mg The side effect from the medication was not escapable. He became very susceptible to infection. At about that time, the patient learned about Agaricus and its enhancement of the immune system. He began taking it on January 15, 1997 - 1.5g a day. As a consequence, the PSA went down to 15ng/mg on March 15, which is about normal. By November, the pain lie suffered throughout his entire body went away. Further, the pain that had moved to his lower back also disappeared. The physician in charge was notably delighted and surprised by the Agaricus effect in this case. On November 27, 1997, the patient talked about his feelings and amazement about Agaricus.

Patient: "When I think about the pain I had suffered before taking Agaricus, I feel very lucky and am very grateful. Obviously, when I was told of the cancer at that time, and the cancer was too advanced to have taken away by surgery, I felt just hopeless. It felt like it was the end of the world. In any event, I could not deal with the pain. I wanted the pain to go away. I was under medication first but still had to deal with the pain. About three weeks after I began taking the medication, I started taking Agaricus. The pain was eased greatly, but I was still suffering a lot of pain around the lower back until April or so. The PSA however, went down to almost normal which surprised the physician. Now in November, I do not have any pain."

Dr. Kawamura: "Now that you have gained so much strength both physically and mentally, how is your life style?"

Patient: "I work in the morning. In the afternoon, I mostly spend time further studying the triangular effects of Agaricus; that is, its mental effect, immune effect, and internal (secretion) effect."

Dr. Kawamura: "I think that is an excellent idea. It is critical to rely not only on Chemotherapy but also to think of the importance of applying a natural therapy such as Agaricus in the whole scheme of fighting cancer. I really hope that you will continue making efforts 'in this, and become a true agent in educating the public about the effect of Agaricus.''

Patient 2. Lung cancer (male, 64 years old)
January 20, 1997, X-ray results showed three cancerous spots in his lung. Chemotherapy was started on February 20 by IV. Since the patient was very concerned about the side effects of the treatment, he began taking Agaricus with the consultation of his physician. In June 1997, he was discharged from the hospital. With the radiotherapy and Agaricus, his white blood cell count went up, and two of the cancerous spots were gone. In November, the CT scan showed that the only remaining spot had shrunk to 51mm diameter in size. He continues to receive radiotherapy along with Agaricus. He maintains a normal immune system and his diet is back to normal.

Patient: "If I did not know about Agaricus when I became sick with cancer, I don't think I would be sitting here enjoying tea. Needless to say, I will continue taking Agaricus in the future."

Patient 3: Liver cancer (male, 56 years old)
This patient has had a case of large intestine cancer, which was surgically removed. On June 28, 1996, a liver cancer was discovered during a routine physical examination. It was found to be the type that could not be operated upon. Beginning in July, he underwent a regular treatment. In August, on his friend's advice, he started taking Agaricus. After ten months or so after he started taking Agaricus, thirteen cancer focuses (tumors) that he initially had were all gone, which made surgery possible. In August 1997, half of the liver was surgically removed. There was no abnormality in the blood tests. The number of tumor markers had been reduced to 3-4. The physician in charge knew about the effect of Agaricus, but he was very stunned to learn how effective Agaricus was particularly since the cancer was one of a very difficult kind to cure. "I have gained about ten pounds. I feel good now. I have even gone back to work. I am very grateful for Agaricus''

Patient 4: Lung cancer (male, 76 years old)
In the spring of 1997, this patient complained of some symptoms thought to be perhaps a case of asthma, and had some X-rays taken. No abnormality was found.

In August 1997, he complained of difficulty breathing. He was hospitalized, and was under the oxygen respirator. After going through examinations at the hospital, a large size malignant tumor was found. A medication was ordered immediately. After completing the first set of cancer treatments, lie began taking Agaricus.

Patient's daughter: "I learned from this case that cancer can develop quickly even in older, people. I also learned at that time about Agaricus being very effective in cancer treatment. I decided to offer it to my father. After only a month of taking Agaricus, my father's cancer shrank to one third the size. His breathing became easier. The treatment lie was receiving would have had some side effects, but because of Agaricus, no side effects were observed. I have to continue giving Agaricus to my father. It is very effective with a regular cancer treatment. It works very quickly too."

Patient 5: Larynx cancer
This patient first complained of difficulty swallowing food. In April 1997, he was admitted to the hospital. It was found that he had a larynx cancer present in the lower part. It was in the advanced stage already. For three months, lie went through anti-cancer treatment with radiotherapy. As a result, his white blood cell count went down tremendously. And naturally, so did his immune system. His nephew who himself had an early stage colon cancer and recovered from it, had been taking Agaricus ever since his operation. He thought of offering it to his uncle, but because of the type of cancer he had, he could not take it orally. They managed to give him Agaricus with a tube through his nose. After only a month of taking it through his nose on a daily basis, his cancer tumor had shrunk remarkably. He was able to eat normally. He has been discharged from the hospital in the meantime. "Agaricus has become an essential part of our life now. We are very grateful."
 
Patient 6: Bladder cancer (male from Hawaii, 73 years old)
"My bladder cancer was detected, and my physician has recommended that I go through surgery, but I kept refusing to follow his advice. I have been receiving heat therapy and other treatments. When I made a trip to Tokyo lately to attend my older brother's funeral, my nephew recommended that I take Agaricus. I started taking it then. My brownish/red urine became clear after several days. I feel pretty strong now. I even play a round of golf these days. My physician had told me that my blood urine would never go away because of my illness. After a month of taking Agaricus, it seemed to have stopped. I am very hopeful now. I am looking forward to the day that Agaricus will be on the market in Hawaii. I understand that that will be in September, 1997."

Patient 7: Liver cancer (male, 45 years old)
"I am hospitalized because of liver cancer. One day, I heard about Agaricus, which is known as God's mushroom. I wanted to try it so I asked a friend of mine to look for it. As an expert says. 'The best is to take the powder from the originally shaped dried mushrooms.' I had a friend of mine look for a retail place and buy it for me. I was really stunned by the incredible effect it had. I had a lot of water in my belly because of the cancer but after taking it for three days, my belly became normal. I was even more surprised that I gained appetite. Before I had really no appetite. Each day, I feel I am gaining strength. I do believe now that because of Agaricus, my cancer will be cured someday soon."

Patient 8: Final stage cancer case (male, 52 years old)
"I had been extremely healthy all my life until recently when I was told by my doctor that I had a cancer that was too advanced to be cured by any means. I was told that I would not live more than six months. It could well be that I had only two months to live. I did not know how to take it at first. I could not believe that I would die so soon. I somehow managed to try my best to live as fully as possible. My acquaintance told me, 'this is very good. You have to try.' He recommended Agaricus. I tried to believe in it. I did not give up hope. I kept taking it believing I would live. Two months have passed, and three months. I felt quite normal. I went out as if I was a healthy person. I was feeling so fine that I started going back to work. I still believe in Agaricus, so I do believe that my cancer will be cured someday. I keep drinking Agaricus believing in it."

Patient 9: Colon cancer (male, 49 years old)
"Last year, I was diagnosed as having colon cancer at a hospital in Tokyo. I had gone through two operations. As a result, an artificial anus was surgically implanted. Eight months after that, the cancer spread into my liver. Surgery was not possible. I was told that I would only have six months to live. I really hit the bottom. I lost hope, but my wife did not give up. She looked for any cure. Agaricus was the answer. Immediately, I started taking it without telling my physician. Only about a month after I started taking Agaricus, my cancer tumor shrunk to about one third the size. I was discharged from the hospital.
